Ministries Within the Parish

All ministries are organized under the various Parish Pastoral Council committees. These ministries are a result of the variety of needs within the parish community as well as within the city and the region surrounding us.
With each category, the responsible parish staff member(s) are listed.

Administration [Father Tony Jones and Jim Hagan]:  Parish Pastoral Council, Parish Finance Committee, Stewardship Committee, link with the “Western Kentucky Catholic”

Religious Education [Sister Julia Head, OSU]:  Formation Committee[including Catholics Returning Home and Spiritual Direction], Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and Children, Religious Education program for Kindergarten-Grade 8, Children’s Liturgy of the Word (on Sundays, 10:00 AM), Faith-Sharing/Scripture study groups

Liturgy and Worship [Matt Gray]:  Worship Committee, Art and Environment, Music Ministry [including voice, instrumental talents, and music librarian and children’s choir], altar servers, ministry of greeters, lectors, Eucharistic ministers, gift bearers, vocation prayer ministry, ministry of care to the hospital and/or homebound, Prayer Link

Social Concerns/Outreach [Father Tony Jones, pastor]: Social Concerns Committee [including Habitat for Humanity, St. Joseph Peace Mission, Birthright, Right to Life], Society of St. Vincent de Paul

Family Life [Father Tony Jones, pastor]: Family Life Committee, Child Care (Sundays, 10:00 AM), Sponsor Couples, and Engaged Encounter

Hospitality [Father Tony Jones, pastor]: Bereavement meals,   Grief support, receptions, college care packages, Feisty Fifties, Men’s Club, and annual Parish Picnic

Building and Grounds [Father Tony Jones, pastor] All aspects of maintenance of the church, the rectory, and the parish grounds are included.
