SACRAMENTAL INFORMATION

Baptism – Preparation for parents is required only for the first child.  Appointments are necessary for the preparation session.  Contact Diane Willis, Director of Faith Formation .

Reconciliation/Penance – Opportunities for the sacrament are available on Wednesdays (4:30 p.m. when 5:30 Mass is scheduled) and Saturdays (10:00 – 11:30 a.m.).  Communal penance services are available during Advent and Lent each year.  Other times by appointment with Father Tony Jones, Pastor.  

Preparation for the sacraments of Confirmation, Reconciliation and Eucharist – Catechetical preparation is available within the parish Religious Education program, within the Owensboro Catholic Schools curriculum, or, for adults within the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults process.  Contact Diane Willis, Director of Faith Formation .

Anointing of the Sick – A Healing Mass is celebrated the last Wednesday of each month at 11am. The sacrament is also offered on a regular basis to those in the hospital and the home bound.  Those preparing for surgery are urged to request Anointing.  Other times to share in this sacrament are by appointment. Contact Father Tony Jones, Pastor.

Matrimony – Preparation for the sacrament of Matrimony is to begin at least six months prior to the proposed date of the marriage ceremony.  To begin this preparation, contact Father Tony Jones, Pastor.  (Reservation of the Parish Family Center is made by contacting Jim Hagan at the parish office.)

When Fr. Carrico became ill in the summer of 1956, Fr. Clarence Pettit became interim pastor.  When Fr. Carrico died from complications with cancer in 1957, Fr. Leo J. Dienes was appointed pastor.
