Social Concerns

Social Concern and Outreach ministries help us to fulfill our discipleship responsibilities by responding to the needs of others and the mission of our Church.

Hebrews 10:24 is our mission; “We must consider how to rouse one another to love and good works.”

Social Concerns Committee – Members call the parish community to a deeper understanding of the social mission of the Church and provide resources to consciously translate into effective action. The committee works for the common good in family, professional, social, cultural and political life.

Society of St. Vincent de Paul - Helping those who are in need of assistance (food, rent, utilities, clothing, etc.) Ministry specific training and background check.

Habitat for Humanity - Volunteers to build houses that provide low cost homes for needy families.

St. Benedict Meal - Monthly assistance in preparing, delivering and serving an evening meal for the homeless shelter.

Meals Ministry – Package and deliver a Sunday meal to shut-ins from the parish.

St. Joseph Peace Mission - Volunteers to assist in the care and welfare of children at the SJPM.

Spiritual Adoption Program - Pledge to assist the efforts of Pro-Life work by praying for a spiritually adopted child.

Birthright - Volunteers to assist in the needs of expectant moms.

Right to Life - Volunteers to assist with pro-life activities.
